What is a Transitional Living Program?

Transitional living, often referred to as sober living housing, is a residential program after completing treatment at The Ranch at Dove Tree’s residential alcohol and drug abuse program or at another residential facility. Our Transitional Living Program provides a supportive and controlled environment that facilitates personal growth and empowerment.

Transitional living facilities offer a structured living environment where residents follow rules and guidelines that promote personal responsibility, accountability, and growth.

Gender-specific Transitional Living

Clients taking part in our gender-specific Transitional Living Program (after completing treatment at The Ranch at Dove Tree’s residential alcohol and drug abuse program or at another residential facility) are surrounded by the inspiration and encouragement of others in recovery. They also benefit from our on-site 24-hour therapeutic support team and enjoy weekly outings to the local attractions, such as movies, bowling, go-karts, theme park, and restaurants. Living in transitional housing maintains a safe, sober environment while increasing accountability, independence, and discipline. Research shows that for emerging adults, living in a recovery residence provides effective sober peer support necessary for maintaining and improving recovery skills.

Clients in our gender-specific sober living homes are working on service work, employment, and/or school. The goal of our transitional living services is to combine wellness practices with a structured therapeutic alcohol and drug addiction treatment program. Our transitional living program is separated into three distinct phases in order to optimally promote each client’s long-term recovery success.
